Why isn't Pay Your Price available online?
It's a community experience we share at the table — part of what makes SciEats different. Online orders use fixed pricing for convenience, but you can still Pay It Forward by adding a contribution at checkout.
Is the food different at different tiers?
No. Same food. Same table. Whether you choose Low, Fair, or Support, you get the same plate, the same portion, and the same warm welcome.
Who covers the difference?
The Support tier and SciCook's community partners and donors. SciEats is part of SciCook, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — every Support contribution helps subsidize meals for neighbors on the Low tier.
Can I pay it forward online?
Yes. Add the Pay It Forward item to your online order — $5, $10, or $20. Every contribution funds meals for neighbors who need them.
Is this a nonprofit?
Yes. SciEats is part of SciCook, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN #99-39384746). Donations and Support-tier contributions fund nutrition education, community outreach, and job training programs in addition to subsidizing meals.
