A meal isn't just calories. It's connection. SciEats was built around a simple idea: what if every neighbor could share the same table, regardless of what they could afford to pay?
No separate menu. No second-tier section. No quiet pity discount at the register. Same food, same plate, same warm welcome — every time.
The bigger picture
SciEats is part of SciCook, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working across San Diego on the bigger problem behind a hungry table — making nutritious food normal, not aspirational.
Every meal you eat with us — and every Pay-It-Forward dollar — supports four programs:
- Nutrition education in San Diego schools and community centers
- Outreach programs providing food assistance in food-insecure neighborhoods
- Job training for adults facing barriers to kitchen and hospitality careers
- Subsidized meals at SciEats locations through the Pay-Your-Price model
